SKILL UPGRADE Program Functions:
SKILL UPGRADE Program arranges internships; assists in the preparation of internship visa applications and prepares all the necessary documents for you. The organization also arranges student accommodation in shared affordable houses or apartments. We co-ordinate the placement process on behalf of the student and the firm locally. The companies we place our students with, are some of the top companies.
Working with the SKILL UPGRADE Program, we will find a placement for you based on your university requirements and your own personal interests. We therefore consider your career, personal and academic requirements when we work with you in finding placements.
Prior to your arrival in an international destination for internship, we provide you with information to assist you in preparing for your visit and stay in the country of work. We spend several hours with each student during the orientation process to ensure we are able to make your arrival pleasant. International students are met at the airport on their arrival and taken to their pre-arranged accommodation. We offer an introduction to the city, guidance in using public transport within the city, car rentals, and booking of overland tours. You will have your own dedicated, personal contact person during your stay, who you can consult with for all related questions. We further accompany you to your place of work on your first day.
SKILL UPGRADE Program facilitates social activities for the students, distributes an internal weekly news bulletin, and arranges cultural and social outings from time to time to ensure that you enjoy your stay in the country, meet other young people or solicit good discounts for such activities. The fields of placement cover virtually every possible field of employment and study.
